A non-refundable fee of $25 per student, or a maximum of $50 per family, is required yearly at time of registration.

Tuition must be paid by automatic bank account debit or automatic credit card payment. Tuition will be debited from your bank account or charged to your credit card the 25th day of each month. You must sign an auto-debit or automatic credit card charge authorization form. Credit card, personal checks or cash will not be accepted for in-person tuition payment on a monthly basis. Only regular monthly tuition fees may be paid by auto-debit or automatic credit card charge. Other fees, such as books, must be paid for at the front desk with cash or credit card. All charges will appear on your bank statement or credit card statement as being from Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc.

A signed Withdrawal Form provided by Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. must be submitted within the first 7 days of the month in order to cancel lessons and automatic payment for the next month. Withdrawal must be done in person, at the front desk and not with the teacher. Withdrawal Forms will only be accepted during the first 7 days of the month, and will not be accepted over the phone.

Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. reserves the right to terminate lessons for any student without notice. In such a case a refund for unused lessons will be given.

Absolutely no refunds or make-up lessons are given for missed lessons or group classes. There are no credits for sick days. Any time a student misses a music lesson for whatever reason, they may attend, free of charge, a group music theory class. Music theory classes will be offered six times throughout the year. Class dates will be posted two weeks prior to the class taking place.

If lessons are cancelled due to events beyond our control, students will receive a credit toward the next month’s lessons.

Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to attend a lesson. If a teacher is ill and Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. cannot arrange a substitute, the students will receive a credit toward the next month’s lessons.

Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. is not responsible for providing before or after lesson care for students. Parents with students under the age of 5 are asked to remain in the building during the lesson. Students of any age are not to be left on the premises for excessive time before or after lessons.

Recitals are offered in December, May & August.

It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of activities such as recitals and dates Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. is open and closed. Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. will post notices at the front desk and send notices home with the students. It is the parent’s responsibility to regularly check with the front desk and their student to ensure they are informed. It is also the responsibility of the parent or adult student to inform Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. of any address or telephone number change.

In the interest of the safety of all our students: All cars must park in a parking space to drop off and pick up students. The front door is not a "drop off/pick up" zone. Cars that block the front door prevent exiting students from seeing approaching cars, and prevent other drivers from seeing students crossing the parking lot.

Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc.'s property resulting from normal lesson or class activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after lesson time.

Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials it creates. Permission is also hereby granted for Anchorage Music & Dance Center, Inc. to copyright such photographs in its name.

The parent or guardian of a student under 18 yrs of age, or adult student, will be required to sign a copy of the policy & procedures shown above, before they will be permitted to start lessons.
