The owners of Anchorage Music & Dance Center have been teaching private and group music lessons for over 25 years in Anchorage. Our professional staff teaches students skills that will allow them to make and enjoy music throughout their entire lives.

Students can start taking private lessons as young as 6 years old. We have an “Open Registration” policy which means students can start lessons at any time of year or month. There’s never a reason to wait to get started! Lesson times are available from 12:30pm-8:00pm, Mon-Fri, & 10:00 am-4:00 pm, Sat. Many families are able to schedule multiple children at the same time with different teachers. That saves mom & dad hours of driving each week!

We think the secret to success is to have fun while you are learning, and to have the opportunity to perform. We offer multiple recitals and performance opportunities throughout the year. We host them in our new performance space, located on site. Our recitals are low pressure affairs where students feel comfortable sharing their talents with family and friends,

Our teachers are professional musicians with performance & teaching experience. Most have, or are completing, music performance degrees or music education degrees. Our teachers know how to relate to each student to help them master skills that create results-- all while having fun making music! (See "Our Music Teacher" for details)

It is important to choose a studio that can assist you with questions about schedules, recitals, etc., even if a teacher is busy with a student. As with our dance teachers, our music teachers are not bogged down with administrative duties. Their job is to teach and make sure your child is happy and learning new skills. We have an excellent office staff on hand during regular business hours and lesson times to help you with all your questions.
